CRPRI Online Core Curriculum
The CRPRI Online Core training guides participants through the process of creating a viable Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) conservation plan. The course covers the various sub-programs of the CRP (General, Continuous and CREP), resources available to planners and strategies for stakeholder interactions when developing a conservation plan. The NRCS 9-Step Planning process under the Conservation Reserve Program is covered in detail.
Throughout the course, participants are immersed in the CRP enrollment cycle. The course explores the CPA-052 form for creating a baseline environmental evaluation as it relates to the Conservation Reserve Program. Internet resources,like the electronic Field Office Technical Guide and Web Soil Survey, are used to generate job sheets and soil maps. The course concludes with next steps for becoming a certified Technical Service Provider and suggestions for additional professional development.
This is a self-paced online course; however, the course must be completed by May 31, 2014. It is expected to take approximately 16 hours to complete. You may register for the course until May 15, 2014.
